Spring Break Packing List

Spring break is one of the highlights of any student's year. A time for warm weather, beachside views, and great memories. Flying can make what you bring on this sunny vacation a bit limited. Heres what I bring for a week with friends in beautiful Florida.

1. A beach bag & sunglasses- Choose a bag that can be folded up tightly into your suitcase and you have no worries about it going missing. I recommend a bag you may get after purchasing an item such as from Lululemon or Urban Outfitters. You can also buy shopping totes from TJ Maxx for $.99. And of course, don't forget your sunnies!

2. Cup, speaker, & cross body- Carrying on a cup may take up extra space in your bag but could be worth it. You will need something to keep your drinks cold while you're laying out in the hot weather. A speaker is also great when you're traveling with a group of people. It livens up the house you're in and allows everyone you're on the beach with to listen to the same music at the same time. If you are planning on going out at night or go on any long excursions, it is probably a good idea to bring a smaller bag as an extra.

3. Four Rompers- When you have limited space in your suitcase, one-piece outfits are a great option. I will be there for 6 days, so for 4 of those, I will be wearing a romper whenever I am actually wearing clothes and not a bikini.

4. Four Tops- I generally pack extra tops for mornings before the beach and for the plane there and back.

5. A black Dress- No matter where I am going, I always make sure to bring a black dress. You never know where you are going to go and it is important to be prepared. This one is drappy and simple so it can be dressed up or dressed down.

6. Jeans & Shorts- Since I will mostly be wearing rompers, I am only packing one pair of comfy boyfriend jeans and one pair of shorts.

7. Cover up & One piece- A must have for the beach is something to cover yourself up while walking around and grabbing something to eat. I prefer a pair of highwaisted, flowy pants. A one-piece swimsuit is great to change up your beach outfit. It's also great when you're plan is to mostly be by the pool and exploring. This way you are ready to get wet but also presentable (and comfortable!) to explore the town.

8. Five Bikini- I have packed one for everyday and an extra. These are a no brainer when traveling to a warm place surrounded by water.

9. Pajamas- I normally do not wear pants to sleep, so I am only bringing one pair. I am also bringing three, very large T-shirts.

10. Jewelry- Accessorizing is very important. It can make a difference to any outfit. I make sure to bring a wide variety of fun pieces.

11. Shoes- I like to bring three pairs. One flat, One a medium height, and one that is tall.
